Borough of Wenonah receives $250,000 Community Project Funding Award
The Borough of Wenonah has been awarded a $250,000 Community Project Funding Award to support improvements to the Cedar Avenue Recreation Complex. The funding is part of a larger congressional appropriations package secured by Rep. Donald Norcross to support communities in New Jersey’s First Congressional District.
Mayor Doheny wrote and submitted the application for funding, which was one of 15 applications selected by Rep. Norcross to include in his request for appropriations. The requested funds will be used to improve conditions of existing fields as well as increasing opportunities for recreation for our residents with the addition of new equipment.
The Wenonah Athletic Association and the Lions Club have been valued community partners in this effort, and the Borough looks forward to continued collaboration with them through the execution of this project.
