Construction Project Update for Maple Street

 

The Borough has awarded a construction contract entitled the 2025 Borough of Wenonah Infrastructure Improvement Project to Landberg Construction.  Please note the construction project update for September 8, 2025. 

 

 

⁽¹⁾ Maple Street is scheduled for full curb replacement, full sidewalk replacement on the south side, and select sidewalk replacement on the north side of the roadway thus resulting disturbance to the Borough’s Right of Way, which is typically sixteen (16) feet perpendicular to the curbline.  Should any privately owned improvements be located within the Borough’s Right of Way, i.e. sprinkler systems and/or landscaping improvements, etc. these items will be removed by the contractor if found to be in conflict with the proposed construction and the responsibility for their repair and/or replacement shall lie solely upon the property owner and NOT the contractor.

Maple Street

It is anticipated that Maple Street shall be closed to all through traffic beginning on September 15^th and extend through the duration of construction, which is approximately 6-8 weeks. A detour shall be arranged by the contractor.

Access and egress for Maple Street residents, and for residents on Stockton Avenue and Princeton Avenue, north of Maple Street, will be maintained by the contractor at the close of each work day.  Local residents should practice care while using Maple Street and/or crossing Maple Street, at the intersections of Stockton Avenue and Princeton Avenue, as construction disturbance may be experienced.

Access for local traffic and emergency vehicles shall be provided until the start of paving operations.

⁽²⁾  Residents who require water service replacement will be provided with advance notice of temporary suspension of service.  Upon replacement of your water service, residents may experience discoloration. Should discoloration be experienced, it is advised to run water through all of the plumbing fixtures until the discoloration dissipates.

⁽³⁾  The contractor will be delivering notices to each resident in advance of concrete sidewalk, curb, and driveway replacement.  We ask that you please adhere to the instructions regarding the relocation of your vehicles to avoid interference with the contractor’s work

Trash pick-up shall continue to take place on Fridays.  Trash removal shall be performed at 6AM and therefore, we ask that you please set your trash cans out at the street on Thursday night.

The contractor will attempt to limit your inconvenience to the greatest extent possible and we ask that you be mindful of the proposed construction and safety of the construction workers.
