No Knock Registry

No Tolerance for Illegal Solicitation

All individuals going door-to-door for business purposes are required to have an official solicitor’s permit issued by the Borough and must carry that permit while canvassing. If a solicitor approaches your door without a permit, we encourage you to report them to the police.

Borough Council has just passed a Resolution for a “No Knock” Registry to help our residents protect themselves from solicitation. If a resident is registered in the Borough’s “No Knock” program and displays the official decal, it is illegal for solicitors (permitted or not) to approach their home. Residents can register for the free “No Knock” registry by completing an application, available online here or at the Borough office located at 1 South West Ave.
