We are excited to welcome all Wenonah Lake Swim Season pass holders and their guests! As a member, you’ll enjoy full access to all available recreation, including game courts, boating, picnic areas, snack bar, and lavatories. However, please note that access to some areas may be restricted to Borough of Wenonah employees.

Membership Requirements:

Member: A Wenonah Lake Swim Season member is a Wenonah Borough resident or a non-resident who:

  • Has paid current membership dues by making your payment online and picked up your tags at Wenonah Lake. 
  • Has obtained a current lake tag for each family member over the age of 2.
  • Meets minimum age requirements of 13 years to use the facilities unaccompanied by a
    parent or guardian, and whose family has a membership in good standing.

Residency: A resident of the Borough of Wenonah is an individual occupying a permanent dwelling within the border of the Borough and uses such residence as their primary dwelling throughout the year. Membership dues for non-residents are set separately from residents. People who are served by the Wenonah Post Office and live outside the Borough are NOT residents of Wenonah Borough and therefore are subject to non-resident fees.

Admittance:

  • Swimming is available only during posted operating times. Tentative Swim Season Schedule:
    • Weekends starting Memorial Day
    • Full – time operations from June 19th through Labor Day
    • Open Tuesday through Sunday
    • Closed on Mondays
  • Entry Requirements.
    • All visitors will be asked to provide identification and lake tags.
    • You must sign upon arrival with the manager on duty.
    • Assigned lake tags must be worn while on the lake park grounds during swim season hours.
    • A Member is required to be present to sign in their guest(s). Guest(s) are required to present identification when signing in. Guest(s) will not be admitted on to property without Member and may not remain on property after Member has departed.
    • Members, Guests and Day Pass Users are required to adhere to all rules and regulations outlined in the Swim Season Code of Conduct.

RULES AND CODE OF CONDUCT

 

The Borough of Wenonah (“Borough”) is committed to maintaining a safe environment where all members, guests, visitors, and employees are treated with respect, dignity and in a fair manner.

Appropriate conduct will not be limited by physical proximity. Expectations are extended to written correspondence including email, verbal communications, and an online or virtual environment.

This Policy is further intended to deal quickly and effectively with any breaches of Swim Season Membership, Guest, and Day Pass Policies; current Rules and Regulations contained in this document and/or posted on the property; and this Code of Conduct. Incidents will be investigated by management in a confidential manner with the intent of protecting and respecting the rights of members, guests, visitors, and employees.

Scope

This Policy shall apply to and affect all members, guests, and day pass users who are accessing the Borough’s swim program services and/or facilities. The Borough deems that upon confirmation of membership and/or payment of guest or visitor fees, there is an acceptance of this Policy.

Swim Program Rules

· Admittance to the Lake Grounds is permitted only during Swim Season Operating Hours

· Swimming is permitted ONLY when lifeguard is on duty

· Swimming from or near the dam is strictly prohibited

· All swimmers 12 years of age and younger must take a swim test. Bands must be worn at all times to indicate a swimmer has passed the test.

· All non-swimmers must be supervised by an adult

· Members are responsible for accompanying their guests at all time and guests may not enter the property before their associated member has arrived or remain on the premises after their associated member has departed.

· The following are prohibited on Lake Grounds (including the parking area):

  1.  Smoking and Vaping
  2. Consuming Alcohol or Drugs
  3.  Glass Containers
  4.  Weapons
  5.  Pets are not permitted during Swim Season

· Diving, doing flips, pushing or shoving from the trampoline or docks is strictly prohibited

· All boaters and boarders must adhere to the following:

  1. Must have a high band
  2. Must wear a life jacket
  3. Kids under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult

 

Code of Conduct Expectations

· The use of obscenities, loud, foul, sexualized, racial, or threatening language is prohibited at all times.

· Physical violence is prohibited at all times.

· Respect for Borough assets and facilities is a fundamental expectation.

· Cell phones and all mobile devices and accessories are to be used discreetly and with courtesy to other Swim Program users.

· It is important to all stakeholders of the Borough that no form of harassment, discrimination or violence be tolerated. Harassment can involve a single incident, or it may continue over a period of time. Forms of harassment include, but are not limited to:

  1. sexual harassment,
  2. physical harassment,
  3. verbal harassment through jokes, taunting, yelling, degrading language,
  4. discrimination, or
  5.  intimidation in any manner.

Reporting

If members, guests, day pass users or staff have witnessed or been the recipient of disrespectful or dangerous behavior, the individual is encouraged to report the incident to the Lake Manager on duty in a timely manner.

Revocation of Privileges

The Borough of Wenonah reserves the right to revoke the privileges of any individual due to misconduct, non-payment of dues or fees, or violation of lake policies or rules. This policy applies to members , guests and day pass users.

The residents of the Borough of Wenonah underwrite the swim program through their municipal taxes. Residents of other municipalities including those residents of Deptford Twp. who have a US Postal Service address of “Wenonah” MUST pay non-residents rates.

If you are a Deptford Twp. resident with a Wenonah mailing address, please consider contacting the Wenonah office at 856-468-5228 BEFORE submitting the payment. NO REFUNDS for non-residents who register incorrectly as resident.
