Message from your Mayor

Former Chief of the Wenonah Police James R. Miller passed away on Friday, December 18th, 2020. Chief Miller, a graduate of Glassboro State University (now Rowan University), served in the U.S. Army before he became a police officer for the Borough of Wenonah in 1957. In 1959 he was promoted to Chief of the Wenonah Police, where he would serve 39 years, holding the title of the longest running chief of police in the state of New Jersey. Chief Miller called Wenonah home along with his daughters Linda Sheehan and Judy Leary and their families. Chief Miller helped shape our Borough to become the community that it is today. His contributions and his memory will forever be a part of the story of Wenonah.

John R. Dominy, Mayor
