Dear Wenonah Residents,

We made tremendous progress clearing streets today. Heavy machinery is moving quickly through town. This has opened up the roads for utility repairs. More and more power has been restored throughout the day. Crews will be working through the night to restore more. Our priorities remain: clear the roads, restore utilities, and remove debris. What follows will be our road to recovery. Those most impacted will need our continued generosity and assistance in the months ahead

You will see an increase police presence again in the Borough tonight with assistance from local law enforcement.

Gloucester County has supplied dumpsters for household trash and storm debris.  The dumpsters will be located along South East Ave adjacent to the Park. However, we cannot accept TV’s or electronics or white goods (home appliances). Also, no hazardous materials. The dumpsters will be monitored to ensure they are utilized only by residents of Wenonah. Finally, from 7am to 5pm the Gloucester County Solid Waste Complex (dump) in South Harrison Twp. will be open to Wenonah residents for free.

A hearty thanks to all who given so much to our community over past three days. Our Public Works team have gone over and beyond. Supervisor Brian Nicholson has done a phenomenal job. Give all of them “shout out” when you see them.

We’ll be at it again tomorrow at sunrise. Please be safe.

Mayor John R. Dominy
