* All residents are advised that the proposed construction will entail disturbance to the Borough’s clear zone, which is defined as the area located between the curb and the sidewalk, and where no sidewalk exists, the clear zone is measured as twelve (12) feet perpendicular to the curb line (Ordinance #56- 3.B.). Should any private improvements be located within the clear zone and/or within 2 feet of any driveway apron or sidewalk, i.e., sprinkler systems and/or landscaping improvements, etc. these items will be removed by the Contractor if found to conflict with the proposed construction and the responsibility for their repair and/or replacement shall lie solely upon the property owner and NOT the Contractor.

Construction is expected to begin on August 12th and end in late October. Prior to the start of construction, you will receive a notification from the Contractor with additional detailed information regarding hours of operation, contractor contact information, and access to your property during construction. A second round of advance notices will be provided when construction work is anticipated to directly affect your property and require temporary movement of your vehicles to accommodate certain construction activities.

Temporary road closures can be expected and therefore, we ask that you pay close attention to the posted construction signage and be prepared to use alternate routes to avoid conflict with construction activities.

The Contract may also include miscellaneous pavement repairs at various locations throughout the Borough which may present a temporary inconvenience to nearby residents and therefore, we ask that you be mindful of the proposed construction and safety of the construction activities.

Please note that the contractor is also hand delivering individual notices to the residents on each of the streets we will be working on.
